If used just for data then the data minutes purchased are available for use. Voice usage uses double that amount so if solely used for voice then only half of of those minutes will be available. e.g. a 1000 unit Data card would be used in total after 500 minutes of calls to PSTN or mobiles. Using voice and data calls will put the total available minutes somewhere between the two values.

ClientSAT Overview

The big plus as we see it is that you have access to make calls from your standard iOS or Android device.

The Iridium GO™ operates at the same voice and data speed as a standard Iridium hand held phone connection. Up to five iOS or Android devices can have access to the unit for voice or emails however only one device of the five can transmit or receive at a time.

If you want to use your laptop or Mac for emails then you will need ClientSATmail powered by Xgate.
