You don't need miles of thick cable to make this work. Most of our clients fix the antenna at the rear of the vessel near the solar panels away from ropes and booms etc. 10 meters of relatively thin easy to run custom cable will allow you to set up and connect via wireless connection in the boat. The GO! does not need to be at your nav station.
Cables need to be squeezed through small holes. This fitting allows the cable to be fed through a 10 MM hole instead of a 17 MM hole with the fitting secured after the cable is installed. It might not sound like much until you are running the cable through tight spots or drilling holes in your precious vehicle or yacht!
The Iridium GO™ operates at the same voice and data speed as a standard Iridium hand held phone connection. Up to five iOS or Android devices can have access to the unit for voice or emails however only one device of the five can transmit or receive at a time. If you want to use your laptop or Mac for emails or to download weather GRIB files then you will need ClientSATmail powered by Xgate.
